Acolytes

Acolytes assist the priest on the altar and ensure the orderly and smooth progression of worship.

Altar Guild

The Guild is composed of lay persons responsible for preparing the altar for all services and caring for the communion vessels and elements for Holy Communion

Candace Organization

Named for the Ethiopian queen whose eunuch/chamberlain was converted to Christianity by Philip the evangelist (Acts 8:27).  Candace fosters spiritual growth through service oriented activities within the church and the community-at-large. Every May they collect toiletries for the underserved.

Christian Formation

Children five to eighteen years old are thought Christian theology based on the Book of Common Prayer and the Bible.

Cutural Committee

Foster communication, education, and cultural exchange to provide enrichment and involvement for the congregation and the community-at-large.

Daughters of the King

An Order for women who are communicants of the Episcopal Church, or churches in communion with it, or churches who are in the historic Episcopate.  Members undertake a Rule f Life, incorporating the Rule of Prayer and the Rule of Service. They pledge to a life-long program of prayer, service and evangelism, dedicated to the spread of Christ's Kingdom and the strengthening of the spiritual life of their parishes.

Ecclesia

St. Philip's is part of an inter-faith ministry to conduct religious services and provide bag lunches in Marcus Garvey Park (Madison Avenue @120 Street) every third Sunday of the month.

Flower Guild

Dedicated to the beautification of church's sanctuary and all areas with flowers/plants with ongoing maintenance
