BHM Series – Changing Face of Harlem Documentary – Sun. Feb. 14 @ 1PM

Join us for the second in our Black History Month series with a viewing of the documentary film Changing Face of Harlem, followed by Q&A with film maker, Shawn Batey.

Changing Face of Harlem is a one-hour documentary that examines the revitalization of Harlem told through the deeply personal stories of its residents, small business owners, politicians, developers, and clergy. Identified as the birthplace of the Black Renaissance, Changing Face of Harlem takes a critical look at Harlem’s history, early development, and its present transformation. The film began production in the year 2000 and was shot over a period of ten years.  For more information visit the film’s website:


The documentary will be shown at approximately 1pm, following our 11:15am service of worship. This is a free event and open to the public. All are invited and welcome.
